Zimmer Construction Consultants has been chosen to review Payment Applications and Construction Quality for the $60 million renovation of the luxury Fisher Island Club.

"....The island, which at times has been home to sports stars, Vanderbilts, and Oprah Winfrey, just finished the first phase in the club restoration that began in 2007.  Notable upgrades include new bars and restaurants, an extension of its beach area, and extensive landscaping."

"...The Club resotoration will continue this summary (when island occupancy is low) and will be completed sometime next year..."  "At the Town Center area, the Island Market Deli, a Whole Foods Market-style grocery, will expand from about 4,000 square feet to about 6,400 square feet.  An upscale Italian restaurant will be redesigned, and the pool at the center of the Town Center area will get some kind of fountain..."

...Topping the list of coming upgrades is the restoration of the island's Vanderbilt Mansion.  Built in 1935 for the Vanderbilt family and designated a Miami-Dade County historical site, the mansion is the main gathering place for events.  The overhaul will include restoring the original marble and woodwork while maintaing the historical integrity..."
